Maryana Klochko is a music producer, vocalist and film composer born in the small village of Lopatyn, which is still in Lviv, but very close to the Volyn region. Maryana enriches the Kyiv scene with a unique contemporary reading of Ukrainian folklore sounds heritage. In her works she often works with the unconscious, through lyrics and vocal parts, she seeks a balance between the real and the fictional. She perceives music as storytelling, finding many visual images in the composition that come to life through sound. Maryana holds an MA in interior design from Lviv Academy of Arts, Ukraine. An art education strongly influenced her perception of music. Her work focuses on experimental, pop, club, post-apocalyptic folk and ambient music.
